To be more specific, this blog is about a book that I have written and what it takes to get it published. The good news is that I’ve already completed writing it… (the book, that is). Actually…it’s not yet a “book”. Technically, it’s still just a “manuscript”. See… in order for it to be a “book”, it has to be published… and from what I understand, publishers are big on technicalities. In the old days, you’d have to be really good at pitching your book idea to an agent and a publisher in order to get published, but as I’m quickly learning, those days are gone. OVER. Not likely to return.
Now…in order to get published, you have to demonstrate that you have a ready-made following of followers. I don’t yet have that… or those… (”followers”, that is). But I’m determined to get them. You see… I’m gonna get this book published… come hell or high water. And my sincere hope is that with you following along and witnessing what it actually takes to get published, your presence (and all the little analytics that prove you were part of the process) will enable us together to move this book into publication. I can’t do it alone.
So I’m asking for your help. Once I get it published, then I’m gonna help you. That’s why I wrote the book. It will be my way of thanking you for helping me get it published. Really, all you have to do… is be part of this blog. Of course, if you’d like to comment, that’d be great, too. I’d really enjoy that. We can turn this blog into a conversation. So…. please, give it some thought… or just read ahead. 🙂
